I consider education a vital part of any visit and any work I do.  I will always try to explain what I am doing and why as I work through an issue, the reason being that it allows the person to understand a little more about the technology, and possibly even learn a few steps about how to fix the problem if it re-occurs.  It's also simply more fun to have the process be interactive. 

I spent a number of years as an educator, both as a media literacy educator and as a theatre arts instructor on the west coast, in public and private schools as well as a volunteer teacher in prisons. All of which taught me a great deal about the value of clear and concise communication. If you have ever taught a class of 32 middle school students you will appreciate how quickly you learn to explain and inspire at the same time.  You find out in a hurry what works and what doesn't.

Those skills have helped me a great deal in my strategies (as well as patience) and training methods. I teach classes and will schedule one on one training sessions as needed.  I especially enjoy working with seniors, and have a special rate of $65/hr for educational sessions for folks over 65 years old.  Please note that this is for educational sessions only and not for repair work.
